The tan and white concept was introduced around 12 years a go to make the ball more visible for players, spectators and television. This innovation proved extremely popular. FIBA, the world governing body of basketball recently changed their rules meaning that white is no longer allowed on basketballs.
To counter this development we have changed the design on all our matchballs and replicas. They feature the new Two Tone Tan concept. It is felt this is a natural progression of the tan and white concept whilst still meeting current FIBA regulations.
Baden is the official ball of England Basketball and Basketball Scotland. Baden basketballs are used for all matches under the jurisdiction of these bodies.
